Covid-19 Update

We are doing our part and help get everyone through the current dilemma. We will be consolidating some of our clinics but otherwise continue to provide urgent and emergency dental care. We will be donating our extra supplies to local hospitals to help them in their effort to better care for those affected.

To also help, we are now expanding our hours in some of our clinics from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.  We hope these extended hours will not only better serve our patients but will help keep dental emergencies from overloading value space in emergency rooms.

Can you help anxious patients?

Woman | Sedation Dentistry Portland ORAt NE Dental Associates, we believe that your dental appointments should be stress-free and comfortable. We also understand that for some people, a trip to the dentist causes a racing heart and sweaty palms.

We are here to help.

Because we never want you to avoid your dental treatment due to anxiety, we offer sedation dentistry options to help you relax.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Also known as laughing gas, nitrous oxide is an odorless gas that enters the system through a small nose mask. We blend nitrous with oxygen and administer it throughout the appointment to keep you feeling comfortable. It leaves the system quickly once we turn it off, and within a few minutes, you will feel clear-headed and ready to finish your day.

Oral Conscious Sedation

When patients prefer a stronger form of sedation, we offer oral sedation, which requires prescription medication to achieve longer lasting effects. While patients remain conscious, they enter a dream-like state, making it possible to relax entirely during their procedure. Even patients with a strong gag reflex or those who have difficulty sitting still will find their appointments breeze by.
