Your First Visit

Any time you plan a trip to a new medical or dental office, you might wonder what you can expect. We want to put your mind at ease and provide you with some valuable information regarding your first visit to NE Dental Associates.

We Respect Your Time

We strive to stay on time for every appointment because we know that modern families have many demands on their schedules. With the exception of dental emergencies, we never overbook our appointments because we want your visit to be convenient and predictable.

Comprehensive Oral Exams

We like to invite each new patient to the practice by providing a comprehensive oral exam that identifies any conditions that you should be aware of. We also believe that it is vital for you to have time to get to know your dentist and ask any questions you have.

  • Tooth-by-tooth exam
  • Periodontal evaluation
  • Oral cancer screening
  • X-rays and digital photos
  • Consultation
  • Treatment recommendations

Our dentists will discuss any conditions and their treatment options so you can make informed choices for your smile.

Children’s Exams and Cleanings

We welcome children from their very first dental visit. Since many members of the NE Dental Associates team have kids of their own, we understand how challenging it can be to run from office to office to get your family’s dental cleanings and exams taken care of.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that your child have his or her first dental appointment by age one. This first visit will be relaxed and help familiarize your little one with the dental office environment and team.

Emergency Dental Appointments

We understand that sometimes emergencies arise. If you do not have an emergency dentist in the Portland area, we encourage you to give us a call. Our dentists will get your immediate condition under control, and you will always receive an invitation to become a regular patient in our practice.

What to Bring

Having a few essentials on hand for your first visit will help it run smoothly:

  • Insurance information
  • X-rays from your previous office
  • Photo ID
  • List of medications
  • Questions for your dentist

You can also print out the necessary forms in advance, saving time in the office.

Our Payment Options

We want to make your dentistry convenient and affordable by working with most major PPO insurance plans. We also accept cash, checks, and credit cards, as well as offering financing options.

Give Us a Call!

If you have additional questions about your upcoming visit to our Portland dental office, give a call, and we will be happy to answer your questions.

We look forward to meeting you.
